I did a December Daily album last year but I got in on the process well after all the products were unavailable so I used an SNAP album and paper I had on hand then created my own pages and inserts. I like how my album turned out but this year I think I would like to have a pre-made kit so assembling my pages are easier. I can put the album together before December arrives then print a picture each day and put it in a page protector with the hope that on Christmas Day I have the album complete. That idea is in a perfect world and we both know the world isn't perfect. But I'd be happy if I were almost done by Christmas Day.
Ordering today was definitely an interesting event. I tried to log on at exactly 1:30pm and right away the website went down. A complete overload of the system. It took about an hour before I was able to get on the site and place my order. I got lucky and was able to get the few things I planned to get and got an early bird gift too. Yeah me!! I did have a really stressful moment when I pushed the confirm order button and the website timed out. I didn't know if my order went through or if I had to start all over again. Luckily the order went through and all was well with the world. I really think a good idea for ordering the products would be to have two pre-ordering sessions a week apart that way those who didn't get what they wanted the first round have the opportunity to get products the second time. But that's just my thoughts on the process. I'm glad I was able to get the items I wanted but I feel bad for those who didn't.
I'm excited about the stuff I'm getting. I ordered the DD main kit, the Jasmine Jones album, December Circles Stamp set and Simple Stories SNAP Photo Booklets.
The Early Bird item are Large Shipping Tags.
I didn't go overboard although I really wanted to. After this I'm only getting the Story Kits each month. I need to get products out of my storage bins and into pages. I think the product will begin shipping mid-October. I love happy mail and can't wait to get mine. Ali Edwards' products are such good quality and so versatile that they are worth every penny I spend on them. If you've not tried any of these items for your PL album or in your traditional layouts I recommend you give them a try. You won't regret it. I promise!!
After a day filled with anticipation the idea of going to bed seems crazy but that's what I must do. The morning comes early for me and tomorrow will be a long day. The nice thing is this is a short week for me and that means the weekend will soon be here to enjoy.
Update - I went back to the website and ordered two more items. I couldn't resist. I got the 3 x 6 page protectors and the Weekly December stamp set. And that's it!! No more. I already went way over my budget but the memories I'll have from this is well with it. Merry Christmas everyone!!
